Dear Congregants and Community,

We are aware of the increasing concern around Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the flu. Our mission is to be a welcoming Jewish community that promotes the observance of sacred times, the celebration of life cycle events, and acts of loving kindness. We will continue to be that welcoming community, even as we respond to risks such as COVID-19 and the flu.

Here are some steps we are taking to Keep CBS Healthy:

  • We will have hand sanitizer available at various points throughout the building
  • We are using the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) as sources of information for your benefit
  • We offer live streaming¬† (click here) for members and friends who want to attend services from home
  • We are in communication with our colleagues (presidents' boards, synagogue executive boards, USCJ) to learn how other shuls are responding

Here are some ways you can help:

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds each time you wash
  • Stay at home if you are experiencing fever, cough, or flu-like symptoms
  • Cover your cough using your sleeve (not hands)
  • Avoid shaking hands

We are committed to maintaining a healthy and well-informed congregation. As recommendations from local and national officials are made, we will follow those recommendations to the best of our ability. For example, if the State shuts down all schools, our Hebrew School will close as well.

We will communicate any changes to our services and events by:

  • keeping our online calendar up to date
  • sending eblasts
  • updating the Chai Line (302.654.4462 ext. 18)
  • posting announcements on our website and Facebook page
