Shalom! Thank you for your time in virtually visiting us!
A positive, comprehensive, top-notch Jewish educational experience is what we’re all about.
Below are downloadable attachments just for you.
There’s curriculum and registration information for CBS Hebrew School 2008-2009/5769.
Our mantra is simple: Jewish Education must be fun, connecting, positive, and engaging. If it is anything close to dull or boring or painful then we’re clearly doing something wrong.
At Beth Shalom we hold tight to tradition with the welcoming beauty of modernity and change. We are affiliated with the United Synagogue for Conservative Judaism, the Conservative Branch of Jewish life, yet our school is made up of families who come from all streams of Judaism. We have interfaith families, same-sex couple families, grandparents who bring their children to Hebrew School, and everything else under the sun. All are welcome here; our doors are wide open.

Dear New and Returning Families,
Shalom from the growing, bustling, and active Hebrew School here at Congregation Beth Shalom! Enclosed is our registration packet for the 5769/2008-2009 school year. If you are here virtually “shul shopping”, welcome!
If you are here to complete the registration forms please download them, print them out, and mail them back to CBS as soon as possible to assist us with planning for the school year. If we receive your application (with payment) by June 1st a tree will be planted in Israel through the Jewish National Fund in your family’s name! Our goal this and every year is to give each and every child a positive, comprehensive, engaging Jewish educational experience!
Please fill out the forms completely and accurately. We want to provide a rich, meaningful Jewish experience for you and your family – the more we know about your family the better we can plan for the upcoming year. Please fill out the information that is specific for each child.
These tell us who you are enrolling, help us learn more about your family, and let us know how you’d like to help! Please complete all forms that are applicable to you and attach your check made payable to Congregation Beth Shalom. Please note that tuition fees are not refundable or transferable. For scholarship inquiries contact Merrill Dorph, CBS Executive Director, at 654-4462 or director@bethshalomwilmington.org.
Our renovated space including nine new classrooms ensures a safe, fun place for your children to learn.
Our new tech lab with 17 work stations, including video and microphones at each station, will allow even our youngest learners to connect to our faith, our history, and Jews throughout the world in new, innovative ways.
Our returning and new teachers are committed to making Jewish Education this year and in future years as community-building, as family-building, and as new-building-filling as possible. From Israeli Dancing to Jewish Cooking to great Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, this is our year to blossom!
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me at your convenience. From a new drama program to a new building, positive, comprehensive, quality Jewish Education is happening at Beth Shalom!
Shalom,
Roland Roth CBS Director of Education and Programming education@bethshalomwilmington.org
