Shalom! This year is my nineteenth year teaching Hebrew School at Congregation Beth Shalom. During this time, and also in previous Hebrew School teaching positions in Connecticut and Maryland, I taught large and small classes, every grade from pre-school through high school. I also have teaching experience as an English teacher in a public high school in St. Louis. I have a degree in English education from the University of Maryland.
While in college, I earned a Jewish teacher's certificate through the Board of Jewish Education of Washington, D.C. Six years ago, I began attending the Melton Adult Mini-School and after completing the two-year certificate program have continued in the graduate class. I have been an active volunteer within the Wilmington Jewish community, particularly to Congregation Beth Shalom, to Delaware Gratz Hebrew High School, and to University of Delaware Hillel. My greatest commitment is to Hadassah. I have served as a local and regional president and am currently on the National Board of Hadassah. I’m really excited to be teaching Kitah Hey (5th Grade) and Shoreshim again here and look forward to a great year!
