For Immediate Release:
The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism is pleased to announce that Congregation Beth Shalom’s Hebrew School has been recognized as a Framework for Excellence School. Our School is the first school in the State of Delaware to receive this status and is one of less than 92 religious schools (of 610 potential throughout the nation affiliated with the USCJ Movement) to be recognized, making it one of the top religious schools in the country.
This prestigious certification marks the fact that our school has met rigorous standards in all academic areas that include: professional development, Shabbat programming, curriculum development, and family education. Further, this certification demonstrates our school program meets all of the goals, aims, and benchmarks necessary to be considered a school of exceptional academic quality.
As a Framework for Excellence Congregational School, our synagogue has been recognized for its ability to integrate formal and informal educational programming in a seamless way, further highlighting the importance of both. This standard for academic excellence also recognizes the Congregation’s success in creating a partnership between the professional staff and the lay leadership in building the kind of relationships that result in establishing high-quality, meaning centered religious school learning opportunities.
On behalf of Roland Roth, Director of Education and Programming, Rabbi Beals, Hazzan Horwitz, and a team of dedicated teachers, staff, and lay leaders, we are ever-thankful for you our congregants who have made this honor truly noteworthy.
Please watch this page for special announcements, dates, and times for events that may come with this recognizing this honor.
