Congregation Beth Shalom's youth programs offer a wide variety of social, cultural, and recreational activities for Jewish children in grades 4-10. Our objective is to provide young people with an opportunity to develop life-long friendships through meaningful activities and programs that support our Jewish heritage.
Our youth programs are designed to develop a social consciousness through participation in tikun olam projects within the community and to foster connections between our students within our Hebrew School and other Jewish and secular schools in the community. We believe strongly that youth programming is an important supplement to a formal Jewish education and helps to establish life-long Jewish involvement.
Our Youth program has two key components:
- Atid (Future) for Grades 4 to 6 and
- Shalom Corps for Grades 7 to 10.
Congregation Beth Shalom is also proud to host Troop 739, one of a handful of Jewish Girl Scout Troop's across the country and to support Jewish teens through BBYO - the B'nai B'rith Youth Organization.
