Melissa Hinspeter
I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. I graduated from the West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I hold teaching certificates in Delaware and Pennsylvania. For eleven years, I taught at a private Jewish Day School in Wilmington, Delaware called Albert Einstein Academy. I am an active member at CBS working with Shalom Yeladim. This year I am also teaching third grade at Las Americas Aspira Academy. So far in my teaching career, I have earned two awards, one is the Grinspoon-Steinhardt Award for Excellence in Jewish Education and the other is the Arnold Cohen Award for Teacher of the Year given to me by my peers while teaching at A.E.A. I always tell my students that they will never have another teacher like me! As a musician, I like to make learning fun by incorporating arts and crafts and music! When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, watching movies, and playing board games. I have been collecting stegosauruses since I was four years old. I also play the tenor saxophone in the Newark Community Band. When possible, I travel to Pennsylvania to visit my family.
