Benefits of Membership
Membership at Beth Shalom

Of course, the most rewarding benefit of membership at congregation Beth Shalom is being part of this special community. In addition, there are certain specific entitlements, which accompany membership.

High Holiday Tickets
Each adult members of congregation Beth Shalom will receive one High Holy Day ticket, including College Students. Additional tickets may be purchased for other family members (not living in the immediate area) or for other family guests for an additional charge per person. We have a limited number of reserved pew seats, which are available for use during the holidays at an additional charge.

Religious School Enrollment
Members of Congregation Beth Shalom are welcome to enroll their children in our Religious School. Tuition fees for Religious School are in addition to the membership dues.

Life Cycle Ceremonies
All life cycle ceremonies, including baby namings, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, weddings, and funerals, are presided over by Rabbi Beals and Hazzan Horwitz, for all Jewish Beth Shalom members at no fee. The sanctuary is available for any of these events to Synagogue members.

Use of Facility
Beth Shalom is available to congregation members for religious and social gatherings. The Synagogue office maintains a fee schedule for private events, and those events that involve the serving of food.

Cemetery Plot
Every Jewish member of Congregation Beth Shalom is entitled to purchase a cemetery plot and perpetual care in the Beth Shalom section of the Jewish Community Cemetery on Foulk Road in Wilmington. More information is available from Bob Berman, our representative on the Community Cemetery Committee.
