The strength of Beth Shalom is in its membership. As in any voluntary organization, our congregation is sustained through monetary and service commitments of our members. A member’s financial obligation to the Synagogue is based on a dues schedule, with different categories designed to accommodate the diversity of our congregation. Individual or family memberships are available. The generosity of those who can afford to make additional commitments is greatly appreciated. By the same token, no one will ever be turned away from Beth Shalom owing to an inability to meet the standard dues schedule. Should there be any questions in this regard, our Vice President of Membership, Stacey Friedland, our Treasurer, Jay Rappaport, or our Executive Director, Merrill Dorph, will be happy to seek a fair and equitable solution with complete confidentiality. Any Jewish person 18 years or older may become a member of Beth Shalom. New members of the community who join within their first year of residence,
or newly married couples, are offered their first year’s membership for free.
Beth Shalom welcomes interfaith families. Non-Jewish spouses are invited to attend religious services, educational and social events, and may participate on committees of the congregation.
